In 1979 Lalli and Grace Kalervo bought the campground which was called Tag-o-Long Campground. Since Lalli's passing in 1983 Grace has continued to own and operate the campground with the help of her family. The 13 acre fishing lake is a man-made lake made in the early 1960s. The pool building and recreational pavilion were built in 1971. In 2002 the shower facilities were built as an addition onto the pool building. Recently all of the campsites have been updated to accommodate 30 and 50 amp services.
One of the main reasons Flying Finn is such a fun and friendly place to camp is the devotion of the campers. Throughout the years campers and guest have always been involved in the participation and planning of events. Always willing to help a fellow camper out it is truly a camping community. Come out and be apart of our celebrated history.
